Home Sweet Home...
Well after about 1000 doctors' visits Murphy's tonsils are finally OUT! We woke up thursday morning at about 3:30 and arrived at Le Bonheur at 5:30, got checked in and talked to the doctors and anesthesiologist. By 6:30 we were heading to the bunny room to pick out a toy for him to have waiting on him once got out of surgery. Then they took him back to to OR.
He was in surgery for just under two hours, it was a long afternoon and night but he hung in there and finally started to drink (out of his yo gabba gabba cup of course). I got to sleep in the toddler baby bed with him all night so that was comforting...although not so comfortable...
Anyway, words cannot express how much your prayers, phone calls, texts, emails and sweet gifts for Murphy have meant to us. I have really been counting on this network of prayer to carry us all through this. God watched over us and is the Great physician. We just have to lay low for a couple of weeks and make sure to keep him somewhat calm and hydrated (to avoid bleeds which would mean an emergency surgery).
We felt so loved yesterday, your sweet words and prayers are such a blessing to us and our little guy. Murphy has really been through it lately, but in typical Murphy fashion, he was a trooper. Here are a few pictures from the past couple of days-note the one with him in his gown holding the phone was from this morning, he had some phone calls to make "asap"!The one with him holding the monkey was before surgery (the monkey is "Bo Bo"-he was Clay's as a child) and Murphy is explaining to him exactly what is going on...sweet boy.
