1+1 = 7?

First there were 2, well actually there were three (Clay, Pierre and me), then there were four (enter Daisy) and now 6 years later...well there are 7.
Clay, Murphy, Madden, Daisy, Paddington, Sawyer and me. Tomorrow is our 6th anniversary. It's hard to believe how much your life can change in 6 years. Happy Happy Anniversary Clay!

p.s. I was so sad that I didnt have a picture of Pierre on the computer-ughh!  But for those of you who didnt meet that little black and white cranky crooked nose, bad knee chihuahua, he was wonderful...may he rest in peace.

So we now have 2 parakeets...

So, I got to go out of town for the night last weekend and Clay had the babies to himself for about 24 hours. When I came home I discovered I no longer had a baby girl and a little man, instead I had 2 parakeets.
To define(thanks to wikepedia): "Parrot Head or Parrothead is a commonly used nickname for fans of Jimmy Buffett. "Parakeets" is the term used for younger fans of Jimmy, or children of Parrotheads."

Yep, these are definitely Clay's children. He happened to find a Jimmy Buffett concert on TV, thank goodness had the good sense to DVR it, and ever since we watch "Jimmy Buffett live from Gulf Shores" daily...we are also the ones driving around singing Margarittaville (which I must say is Oh so appropriate for a 2 year old, don't you think?) Anyway, Murphy is in LOVE with Jimmy Buffett, maybe one day we'll move and open a Margarittaville somewhere...watch out for news of the grand opening. I might finally move to the beach yet! Here's some pictures of my parakeets, and a video of one churping away...
Oh and if anyone has any ideas of how one crazy mom can get in touch with JB for his biggest (well probably smallest) fan please feel free to share.  I have about 10 more videos of my little guy jamming in the carseat!

and the biscuits are off...to a big start!

First let me explain...biscuits are M&M's edible little backsides! And they are growing up faster than I could have ever imagined! And on top of it-sweet Paddington turned 4!
It's been a long time since Father's day, but boy have we been busy. Murphy is only 2 and it seems like we are already dashing around town everyday for some reason or another. Murphy started BIG BOY school this week...wow what a special day! Madden has been to mothers day out twice now and has 2 more weeks to go before its Momma and Madden days while the other biscuits are off at school. (Seriously, I can't wait to have some girl time and I think it will help me not focus so much on how grown up Murphy is...)I am so used to everyday it being the three of us...its been a big change and kind of hard to get my mind around them not being attached to me (literally-they are like my appendages). I miss them so much, but they are adjusting so well-Clay got to pick them up on Tuesday and he was beaming when he gave me their daily report...he said "he was so proud going to get each of them", words that melt my heart.
Other than that we have been playing with friends and enjoying finally being able to go outside again. The babies love to "work" at their water/sand table...and the love long weekends with daddy!

Hi dah...dah dah dah dah dah!!

The scene-any day at our house at about 6 a.m.
Murphy: Hi dah

Daddy: Hi Murphy! I love you, how'd you sleep buddy?

(Murphy then wraps his arms and legs around clay and puts his head on his shoulder.)

Murphy Hi dah Hi dah Hi dah...dadadadadadada!!!!!(now screaming in his super excited way)

what can I say he LOVES his daddy, and the same can be said for his sidekick, little Tink. We are so thankful for Father's day. What a special way to thank daddy, Skipper, and Pop for being such a special dad and grandfathers. You are such a precious part of our children's lives. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful people to share in our children's lives.
These men mean the world to our babies. They are there for births, birthdays, surgeries...and almost everything in between, I am not sure you could keep Clay away if he has the chance to be with our two little ones. I am so thankful for his support and the example he is each and everyday to Murphy and Madden.
He loves them so much and is so good to them, and believe me
they know it. When he walks in the house each day there are two babies beaming as they wait to see who gets to dance with him first. Thank you all for being so wonderful. We love you so very much, Happy father's day!

P.S. While these pictures look like they were all taken around the same time, thats the beauty of having 2 babies within a year of each other-everyone looks about the same-just holding a different little one!

Home Sweet Home...

Well after about 1000 doctors' visits Murphy's tonsils are finally OUT! We woke up thursday morning at about 3:30 and arrived at Le Bonheur at 5:30, got checked in and talked to the doctors and anesthesiologist. By 6:30 we were heading to the bunny room to pick out a toy for him to have waiting on him once got out of surgery. Then they took him back to to OR.
He was in surgery for just under two hours, it was a long afternoon and night but he hung in there and finally started to drink (out of his yo gabba gabba cup of course). I got to sleep in the toddler baby bed with him all night so that was comforting...although not so comfortable...
Anyway, words cannot express how much your prayers, phone calls, texts, emails and sweet gifts for Murphy have meant to us. I have really been counting on this network of prayer to carry us all through this. God watched over us and is the Great physician. We just have to lay low for a couple of weeks and make sure to keep him somewhat calm and hydrated (to avoid bleeds which would mean an emergency surgery).
We felt so loved yesterday, your sweet words and prayers are such a blessing to us and our little guy. Murphy has really been through it lately, but in typical Murphy fashion, he was a trooper. Here are a few pictures from the past couple of days-note the one with him in his gown holding the phone was from this morning, he had some phone calls to make "asap"!The one with him holding the monkey was before surgery (the monkey is "Bo Bo"-he was Clay's as a child) and Murphy is explaining to him exactly what is going on...sweet boy.
